PSG interested in a deal for Nicolo Barella
L’Équipe report this morning that PSGa re interested in doing a deal for Cagliari central midfielder Nicolo Barella. With the return of Leonardo as Sporting Director, Les Parisiens’ summer window is expected to have an Italian flavour to it and the 22-year-old certainly fits that mould. Under contract until 2022, it is believed that Inter Milan are in pole position to land the player who is expected to cost the eventual purchasing club between €40m and €50m. Ismaël Bennacer not interested in Fiorentina move
Soccer Link report that Algerian international attacking midfielder Ismaël Bennacer is set to reject the opportunity to move to Fiorentina, despite the fact that La Viola agreed a fee over the last few days with his current club Empoli. Bennacer, 21, wants to join a team that is playing European football next season if he is to move to greener pastures. Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have confirmed the season-long loan departures of goalkeeper Loïc Badiashile and right-back Giulian Biancone to satellite club Cercle Brugge in Belgium for the 2019/20 campaign. Badiashile, 21, spent the last 6 months on loan with fellow Ligue 1 side Rennes, but failed to earn a starting spot and the Brittany side passed up on the opportunity to activate an option to buy in that deal. Biancone, 19, burst onto the scene under Thierry Henry last season, and signs his 1st professional contract with AS Monaco whilst simultaneously being loaned out. Midi Libre report that Tunisian international and Montpellier midfielder Ellyes Skhiri is set to make a €5m move to Bundesliga side FC Köln. The 24-year-old had been pushing for a move to Fiorentina, but, with 12 months left on his current contract, put MHSC in a position where they had to sell or risk losing him on a free transfer next summer. PSG have made an approach for Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes
France Football report that Ligue 1 side PSG have made an enquiry for rivals Lyon’s Portuguese international goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, who has 12 months remaining on his current deal and is in the middle of a protracted contract extension negotiation with OL. Lyon President Aulas told RMC at the beginning of the week that personal terms were agreed with the player, but the thing that was dragging negotiations out was the agency fee.
