Real Madrid set ultimatum to wrap up Kylian Mbappé transfer by end of weekend

Le Parisien report today that Real Madrid have set an ultimatum to Paris Saint-Germain in their efforts to sign Kylian Mbappé, informing the club that they will renounce their efforts to sign the World Cup winner should a deal not be in place by Sunday evening.

The La Liga club believe that once Mbappé joins up with the rest of the France squad on Monday morning, a potential transfer will become increasingly difficult to complete, and that PSG are running down the clock. A medical would be difficult to organise, although France manager Didier Deschamps has indicated that he could make accomodations should there be any last-minute transfer.

Real Madrid have indicated that they will not go above their €170m+€10m second bid, while PSG are expecting an improved offer. In any case, the 22-year-old took part in training this morning ahead of the trip to Reims, where Lionel Messi is expected to make his debut.
