TNA Knockout's Debut Delayed, Update On Raven & Shane Douglas, TNA Epics

— Sarah Stock was backstage at last week’s set of Impact tapings, but not used. However, vignettes were filmed to build for her eventual debut in the company, although her debut is being delayed as a result of the sudden emergence of Lisa Marie Varon. The top female babyface spot in TNA was originally pegged for Stock, but it now belongs to Victoria.
— At this point, Raven and Shane Douglas are only in for last week’s set of Impact tapings and the Slammiversary pay-per-view. They weren’t given long-term deals, but may be used going forward. At least in Douglas’ case, there is talk of using him as a heel manager. Both were brought back due to the theme of Slammiversary as company officials wanted to use some big stars from the early days of the company.
— It’s interesting to note that the intro video for TNA’s program in the UK showcasing the history of the company, TNA Epics, doesn’t feature a single “homegrown” star. Well, unless you count Christopher Daniels, who competed in World Championship Wrestling prior to joining TNA. Here is the list of the stars in the order in which they appear: Hulk Hogan (who never actually appeared in a TNA ring), Sting, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Ken Shamrock, Road Warrior Animal, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Bobby Lashley, Raven, Tito Ortiz (was only a referee), Kurt Angle and Mick Foley. The video concludes with two action shots in Elix Skipper’s huracanrana off the cage in 2004 and Christopher Daniels’ leap from the corner to the center of the cables to win an Ultimate X match.
