Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest picker for Week 8 on ESPN | Sporting News
The “College GameDay” crew is finally breaking out from SEC territory this week to venture into Big Ten Country, where they will preview Saturday’s game between No. 16 Michigan and No. 7 Penn State.
The Wolverines need this win to stay relevant not only in the Big Ten race, but also in the College Football Playoff standings. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions are undefeated, but didn’t look overly impressive in grind-it-out games against Penn State and Iowa. This matchup figures to be defense-heavy, and could come down to which of Michigan’s Shea Patterson or Penn State’s Sean Clifford makes fewer mistakes.
WEEK 8 PICKS: Straight up | Against the spread
With that said, here’s everything you need to know about “College GameDay” as it visits Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa.:
Where is ‘College GameDay’? Location for Week 8
Location: University Park, Pa.
Matchup: No. 16 Michigan at No. 7 Penn State
This will be the seventh visit “College GameDay” pays to University Park, and the first since No. 4 Ohio State beat No. 9 Penn State 27-26 in 2018. The Nittany Lions are 3-3 when “GameDay” visits, but it’s worth mentioning this is a “White Out” game, in which they’re 7-7 all-time (but 3-1 this decade when hosting the Wolverines). In circumstances where “GameDay” visits for a “White Out,” Penn State is 2-2.
