Woman alleges Antonio Brown sent intimidating messages following sexual misconduct accusation | Sporting News
The woman who alleged Antonio Brown made unwanted sexual advances toward her when she was doing a painting for him in 2017 is now alleging the Patriots wide receiver sent intimidating text messages Wednesday following the accusation.
According to Sports Illustrated, which originally broke the story about the woman’s accusations, her lawyer sent a letter to the NFL alleging Brown was part of a group message that included threatening statements to the woman and photographs of her children.
The alleged group text contains four people including Brown’s lawyer, Darren Heitner (who did not respond to the messages) and the number the woman provided to SI, which purportedly belongs to the wide receiver. In the text chain, the number Brown reportedly gave to the woman when she worked for him in 2017, alleges she made up the story for money. The texter then allegedly asks another man in the chain named “Eric B” to look into background information on the woman.
Several pictures then popped up in the chain with photographs of the woman’s children on her Instagram page.

Heitner reportedly declined comment on the alleged conversation.
The woman’s lawyer, Lisa J. Banks, sent a letter to the NFL stating the content was “intimidating and threatening to our client, in violation of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.”
“Our client … is understandably frightened by these text messages, which are clearly intended to threaten and intimidate her,” Banks wrote, via SI. “While she certainly qualifies as a ‘starving artist,’ she has never approached Mr. Brown, nor will she, about seeking money to compensate her for his sexual misconduct, contrary to his allegations in the text messages.”
The NFL reportedly responded to the letter within an hour arranging to set up a call between investigators and the woman’s lawyers, according to SI.
Brown spoke with the media for the first time since joining the Patriots on Thursday after he skipped availability after New England’s 43-0 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
When asked about the allegations relating to the 2017 incident he elected not to answer.
“I appreciate that question,” he said. “I’m just here to just focus on ball and look forward to get out there in the home stadium with the team.”
There has been no indication as of yet that Brown will not play in New England’s matchup with the Jets on Sunday.
