WWE SmackDown ratings get slight post-Survivor Series bump
Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown on the USA Network averaged 2.662 million viewers, up two percent from last week and the fourth highest viewership total of 2017.
SmackDown finished fourth for the night in total viewers on cable and first in the 18-49 demo with a 0.82 rating. It was the second straight night of good ratings news for WWE following Survivor Series as Monday’s Raw posted its best audience since the start of football season.
For the ninth time in the last 12 weeks, SmackDown was up year-over-year in the ratings.
SmackDown retained just over 87 percent of the Raw audience from the previous night, a similar retention to what the show has done since the start of the fall TV season.
No matches were really pushed for the episode aside from an AJ Styles title defense against Jinder Mahal that was alluded to at Survivor Series, though it was made clear early in the show that the match wouldn’t be happening.
